Privacy Policy & Support

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 1, 2026

The short version: WiFizer does not collect, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking. Everything the app does happens on your device.

What stays on your device

Your scan results, speed-test history, saved Wi-Fi networks and passwords (the vault), chosen theme, and app settings are all stored locally on your iPhone using iOS's own storage. This information is never uploaded to us or anyone else, and it is removed when you delete the app.

Location

WiFizer requests location access for one reason only: iOS requires it before it will reveal the name (SSID) and signal details of the Wi-Fi network you are currently connected to. Your location is used on-device in that moment and is never stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere.

Local network & Bluetooth

To show you the devices on your Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth accessories around you, the app scans your local network and for nearby Bluetooth Low Energy devices. This information is displayed to you and is not recorded or sent off your device.

Diagnostic lookups and third-party services

Some tools let you look things up on the public internet — for example DNS, RDAP/WHOIS, reverse DNS, IP geolocation, MAC-vendor, certificate-transparency, and HTTP/HTTPS checks, as well as the internet speed test. When you use one of these, the query you enter (such as a domain name, IP address, or MAC address) is sent directly from your device to the relevant public service to fetch the result, exactly as it would be if you typed it into a web browser.

These requests go straight from your device to those services. We do not operate them, we do not receive a copy of your queries or their results, and we do not log them. The services involved include Cloudflare (speed test), public DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers, public RDAP registries, an IP-geolocation provider, and certificate-transparency logs. Their own privacy practices are governed by their respective policies.

No tracking or advertising

WiFizer contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. It does not track you across other apps or websites, so it never asks for App Tracking Transparency permission.

Children

The app is suitable for all audiences and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't the app list nearby Wi-Fi networks?

Apple does not allow third-party apps to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks — that screen lives only inside the iOS Settings app. WiFizer can show the network you're currently connected to and the ones you've joined before, but not a live scan of every SSID in range.

Why does WiFizer ask for my location?

iOS only reveals the name and details of your connected Wi-Fi network to an app that has location permission. It's used solely for that and is never stored or sent anywhere.

Why does it ask for Bluetooth access?

So it can list nearby Bluetooth Low Energy devices — speakers, watches, smart-home gear, trackers, and the like. Nothing is recorded or sent off your device.

Are my saved Wi-Fi passwords safe?

Yes. Anything you save in the vault stays on your device and is never uploaded. Deleting the app removes it.

How do I report a bug or request a feature?

Email tha_ultima@hotmail.com with as much detail as you can — your iPhone model and iOS version help a lot.
