How do I back up my data?
Open Settings → Data and export to CSV or JSON. Keep the file somewhere safe (Files, email, etc.). You can re-import it anytime.
Does my data sync between devices or to the cloud?
No. Coverlog stores everything locally on the device only. To move your data to another device, export it and import it there.
How do reminders work?
Coverlog schedules a local notification before each warranty ends, at a time you choose in Settings → Notifications. The Expiring tab and the app-icon badge also show what's running out.
I deleted an item by mistake — can I get it back?
Deleting is permanent, so it can only be recovered from an earlier export. Regular backups are recommended.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026Coverlog is designed to be private by default. We do not collect, transmit, or have access to any of your data. Everything you add to the app stays on your device.
Information we collect
None. Coverlog has no accounts and no servers. We cannot see your items, photos, receipts, or any other information you enter.
How your data is stored
All content you create — items, warranty details, prices, notes, receipts, and photos — is stored locally on your device. It stays there until you delete an item or remove the app.
No accounts, no cloud, no network
Coverlog does not require sign-up or sign-in, does not sync to any cloud service, and does not send your data over the internet. The app works fully offline.
Permissions
- Camera & Photos — used only so you can attach receipt and product images to your items. Those images are stored on your device and are never uploaded.
- Notifications — used only for local warranty reminders scheduled on your device. No push servers are involved.
Exporting & sharing
You can export your data to a CSV or JSON file and choose to share it (for example via the iOS share sheet). That action is entirely under your control — we never receive a copy.
Analytics, tracking & third parties
Coverlog contains no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs. Your information is never sold or shared with anyone.
Children's privacy
Because Coverlog collects no personal data, it is safe for users of all ages.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
